Pope Benedict XVI: God continues to act in History

t us pray for the new Cardinals, who well represent the universal dimension of the Church, said Pope Benedict, speaking to the faithful in St. Peter's Square before the Angelus. May the intercession of Mary, the Pope said, help us to live by accomplishing the works of light that bring us closer to heaven, convinced that amidst the torments of history, God continues to build His Kingdom of love. After the Angelus, Benedict XVI recalled that Sister Maria Troncatti, of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, was beatified yesterday in Ecuador. He also noted that the annual pilgrimage of the university students of Rome to the tomb of St. Peter will take place next week.
